M & B Travel was founded in August 2001 when Brian Ball (the Managing Director) and his sister Maureen bought a 16-seater minibus and started trading with the aim of providing a reliable and competitive private transport service for individuals.
Brian used all of the experience he gained in the travel industry over the preceding 25 years, and it did not take long for their reputation to grow. Well known for providing high-quality services, the demand for M & B Travel continued to grow. Brian and Maureen decided to invest in two further minibuses and employ two drivers.
The company motto "On Time, Every Time" was born, and under Brian's vigilant direction, he improved on the reputation the company had already earned. The partnership was extremely successful, and in 2003, took on limited company status. Investment was made into extending the fleet of vehicles, and larger premises were sought in Hadley.
In 2005, Maureen decided to retire from the business and passed the reigns over to Brian. In 2006, Brian's nephew Ian Ball joined M & B Travel as a Co-Director and Operations Manager and very quickly proved himself worthy of the confidence placed in him by Brian. He has assisted in taking the company from strength to strength, using his excellent operational and administration skills towards the optimal use of the fleet and the drivers.
In April 2011, the company invested in premises in Trench and has transformed the dilapidated buildings into a smart operating centre for the business. Despite the expansion, Brian and Ian have managed to combine a successful and efficient business with a friendly family atmosphere.
They continually strive to maintain and improve the services provided and take a great pride in everything that the company achieves. The company continues to grow and currently operates eight vehicles, ranging from 16–51 seats, and employs 11 staff members.
